So I’ve been a fan of Tori for years, but I’m sad to say that I’m becoming less and less fond of both her albums and her live shows. I think earlier in her career she was focused more on her lyrics and music – and less on the “drama” around being a character in her songs and/or on stage. :(
That’s not to say that I didn’t enjoy parts of the Tori show – particularly around the end of the set when she did a few acoustic songs just “T & Bo” (took me a minute – but “Bo” is short for her Bosendorfer piano). For me – that was the highlight of the night, and took me back to her early albums & concerts.
So – if you like the “new” Tori – who is all about getting into the various characters on this American Doll Posse tour – then you’ll probably be very satisfied with this tour. But if your favorite Tori is the gal and her piano – you may get more show and less song…
