First things first. After getting the new screen, projector and equipment rack shoe horned into my car and moved to the basement it was time to unpack all the new toys!

Check out that disaster area!—>

All of the components were taken out of the old entertainment center and placed in the new rack in the back of the room.
The rack was pulling double duty for a few weeks as a component rack and projector stand. The projector will eventually be hung from the ceiling and the rack moved into the corner.

Next up, hanging the screen. After a few runs to Home Depot, lots of measuring, re-measuring and making sure it was all level and square the mounts for the screen were hung.

After bolting the frame together and snapping the screen to the frame. It fit like a glove onto the mounts.

It’s this big.

Actually it is 92” in diagonal.
(That’s almost 8 feet!)

If you’re interested – here’s the equipment list.

The speakers are back in place. (How about that speaker stand for the center channel.)

Obviously there are a few more things that need to happen. (I.e. hiding the wires, hanging the projector, upgrading from the box to a real speaker stand.)

But it is good enough for now!
